Command Sergeant Major Rebecca M. Booker, a native of Gibbon, Minnesota, enlisted in the Army on 31 March 1994, attended Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and trained as a Multichannel Transmission System Operator (31D) at Fort Gordon, Georgia and later reclassified as a Combat Medic (91B) at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
CSM Booker has held numerous duty positions from Squad Leader to Clinic NCOIC and Platoon Sergeant to Command Sergeant Major. CSM Booker served as the Operations Sergeant and later as the Detachment Sergeant for Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment 47th Forward Support Battalion 1st Armored Division in Germany over the course of three years both in combat and in garrison. CSM Booker attended the Inspector General Course after which she served as the Assistant Inspector General at Public Health Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground Maryland. CSM Booker served as the First Sergeant for Alpha Company 21st Combat Support Hospital, Fort Hood Texas. CSM Booker is a graduate of the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy (Class 65). CSM Booker’s last assignment was the Command Sergeant Major for Irwin Army Community Hospital, Fort Riley Kansas

CSM Booker’s awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (5th oak leaf cluster), the Army Commendation Medal (4th oak leaf cluster), the Army Achievement Medal (3rd oak leaf cluster), the National Defense Service Medal (bronze star), the Good Conduct Medal (8th Award), the Army Overseas Service Ribbon (numeral 2), the Army Service Ribbon, the NCO Professional Development Ribbon (numeral 5), the Global War On Terrorism Service Medal, the Iraqi Campaign Medal (1 CS), the Meritorious Unit Citation, the Drivers Badge and the Order of Military Medical Merit.
CSM Booker is married to Charles Booker and one daughter Amaya Booker, three stepchildren Christopher, Jeremy, Koryn Booker and two grandchildren Lilliana and Kaia.
