BMACH Command Sergeant Major: CSM Johnson

CSM Leon Johnson enlisted in the United States Army and attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Knox, Kentucky and received Advanced Individual Training as a Combat Medic at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. His military assignments include the following: 3-15th Mechanized Infantry(Ft Stewart, GA), 224th Airborne Military Intelligence(Hunter Army Airfield, GA), 1-508th Airborne Infantry(Panama), 142nd Medical Battalion(Panama), 2-87th Light Infantry(Ft Drum, NY), 10th Mountain Division Dust-Off (MEDAVAC), 2-46th Infantry Basic Training Drill Sergeant(Ft Knox, KY), United States Army Aeromedical Center(Fort Rucker, AL), 377th Air Ambulance Medical Company/First Sergeant(Korea), C/801st Medical Company/First Sergeant, 506th Regimental Combat Team(Ft Campbell, KY), Bravo Medical Company/First Sergeant(Tripler Army Medical Center, HI),18th Medical Command Operations Sergeant Major, Tripler Army Medical Center Troop Command Sergeant Major, United States Army Pacific Command Surgeon Cell Sergeant Major, and his last assignment was the 61st Multifunctional Medical Battalion Command Sergeant Major(Fort Hood, TX).

CSM Johnson's military education includes the following: graduation from all levels of NCOES including the First Sergeant Course and the United States Army Sergeants Major Course. He also attended the Chemical Casualty Course, Master Fitness Course, Emergency Medical Technician Course, Advanced/Basic Trauma Life Support Course, Advanced/Pediatric Cardiac Life Support Course, Humanitarian Disaster Relief Course, 2CF7 Evacuation Course, Amedd Executive Skills Course and the Battalion Command Sergeant Major Pre-Command Course.

CSM Johnson is a recipient of the prestigious AMEDD Order of Military Medical Merit, the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club and he was inducted as an Honorary Colonel for the State of Alabama.
